Keren Alef Grant Application
Please read the following information carefully before applying:
- Grants are available exclusively to individuals residing in the Greater Manchester area.
- Priority is given to those with a connection to Stenecourt, though we may accept a limited number of applications from the broader community.
- If you have not applied for a Keren Alef grant previously and are not known to us, an established Rabbi must confirm that you are a person in good standing within the community to be eligible.
- If you are connected to Stenecourt, you may authorize us to contact one of the Stenecourt Rabbis for confirmation. If you are not, please provide a signed and dated letter from an established Rabbi in your community confirming that he knows you.
- As a UK charity, we are obligated to collect evidence of financial need. Please attach this documentation to your application. Acceptable forms of evidence include current benefit award notices or confirmation letters, such as Universal Credit, Tax Credits, Housing Benefit, or Council Tax Benefit. If these are not applicable, a signed and dated letter from an established Rabbi confirming your financial need is required.
- If you are submitting a Rabbi's letter as evidence of need, this letter can also serve as your reference, provided it clearly states that you require financial assistance.
- If you encounter any issues attaching files, please email them to info@kerenalef.org.uk after completing the form.
IMPORTANT:
Please ensure that you provide up to date evidence of need otherwise we won't be able to award a grant! (see above for details)
